What is Electric Resistance Converter?

Electrical resistance is the opposition a material offers to the flow of electric current. Higher resistance means less current for a given voltage. Defined by Ohm's Law (V = IR), resistance determines how circuits behave and how much heat is generated.

Understanding the Units

Ohm (Ω)

The SI derived unit of electrical resistance. One ohm allows one ampere to flow under one volt.

One thousand ohms.

Conversion Formulas
