What is Conductance Converter?

Electrical conductance is the reciprocal of resistance — it measures how easily electric current flows through a material. High conductance means low resistance and vice versa. A conductance of 1 siemens means 1 ampere flows per volt applied.

Understanding the Units

Siemens (S)

The SI derived unit of electrical conductance. Equal to one ampere per volt (A/V) or 1/ohm.

Mho (℧)

"Ohm" spelled backwards. Exactly equal to one siemens. Now deprecated in favour of siemens.
