TinyWow Alternative

Tools Network vs TinyWow

TinyWow is a broad file-processing suite with 200+ tools across PDF, image, video and AI writing. It processes files on its servers, deletes them after an hour, and offers a Premium plan that removes ads and limits. Tools Network takes a different approach: most of its image, PDF-editing and spreadsheet tools run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

Which one should you use?

Choose Tools Network if…

  • You handle confidential files. Merging, splitting, signing, rotating and watermarking PDFs all happen in your browser.
  • You convert HEIC photos, extract text with OCR or remove backgrounds and want the image to stay on your device. These run locally too.
  • You want everything free with no Premium tier, no CAPTCHA before downloads and no account.
  • You also need developer, CSS, color, SEO or unit-conversion tools alongside your file tools.

Choose TinyWow if…

  • You want AI writing tools such as paraphrasers or essay writers.
  • You need more video editing than compress, trim, extract audio and convert to GIF.
  • You need a PDF conversion that Tools Network does not yet offer. TinyWow lists 45+ PDF tools.

How Tools Network handles your files

Every tool runs in one of two ways, depending on how heavy the job is.

In your browser (most tools)

Text, code, CSS, color, unit and spreadsheet tools, plus most image and PDF-editing tools, including HEIC conversion, OCR, background removal, and merging, splitting, signing and watermarking PDFs. Your file is never uploaded, and the only size limit is your device's memory.

On our server (heavier jobs)

PDF compression, Office-to-PDF conversion, PDF OCR, video tools, and some image formats such as AVIF, TIFF, PSD and EPS. Uploads are capped at 50 MB for PDF and video (25 MB for most images), deleted as soon as the result is sent back, and a cleanup job removes anything left over within the hour. Live SEO checks fetch the URL you enter from our server.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tools Network upload my files?

Most tools do not. Image editing, HEIC conversion, OCR, background removal, PDF merging, splitting, signing and spreadsheet conversion all run in your browser. Heavier jobs (PDF compression, Office-to-PDF conversion, video processing and some image formats such as AVIF, TIFF, PSD and EPS) are processed on our server, and the files are deleted as soon as the result is sent back.

Is Tools Network really free?

Yes. There is no Premium plan, so every tool and every feature is available without paying or signing up.

What are the file size limits?

Browser-side tools are limited only by your device memory. Server-side PDF and video tools accept files up to 50 MB, and server-side image conversions accept up to 25 MB for most formats.

Does Tools Network have AI writing tools like TinyWow?

No. Tools Network focuses on file, developer, design, SEO and conversion tools. Its AI features run on images, such as in-browser background removal and OCR.
