What is Inductance Converter?

Inductance is a coil's property to oppose changes in current by storing energy in a magnetic field. When current changes, the inductor generates a voltage resisting that change (Lenz's Law). Inductors are used in power supplies, radio filters, and transformers.

Understanding the Units

Henry (H)

The SI derived unit of inductance. A one-henry inductor generates 1 V when current changes at 1 A/s.

Millihenry (mH)

One-thousandth of a henry.
