JPG TO TIFF CONVERTER

Home Image Tools JPG to TIFF Converter

Convert a JPG to LZW-compressed TIFF for print and archival use.

Your file is uploaded only for the moment it takes to convert, then deleted from the server straight away. It is never stored, indexed, or shared.

Lossless From Here, Not Lossless Overall

TIFF with LZW compression stores every pixel exactly, so nothing is lost in this conversion. What it cannot do is give back what JPEG already discarded. The compression artefacts baked into the source — the soft blocking around hard edges, the smearing in fine detail — are pixels now, and TIFF preserves them faithfully along with everything else. That is worth being clear about, because "convert to TIFF" is sometimes suggested as a way to improve a JPEG. It is the right move when a printer or journal demands TIFF; it is not a repair.

Privacy Note

This conversion runs on our server. Your file is uploaded only for the seconds the conversion takes and is deleted immediately afterwards — it is never stored, indexed, or shared. Accepted input: JPG, JPEG, up to 40 MB.

Key Features

  • LZW compression — lossless, and widely supported by print software
  • Preserves the source exactly, artefacts included
  • Accepts files up to 40 MB, since TIFF output is considerably larger than the input
  • Use this for submission requirements, not for quality recovery
