What Is HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple's default photo format since iOS 11. It uses the HEVC/H.265 codec to store photos at roughly half the file size of JPEG with equivalent quality. While great for storage, HEIC is not universally supported outside Apple devices — many websites, Windows apps, and older software only accept JPG or PNG.

This converter uses heic2any, a WebAssembly-backed JavaScript library that decodes HEIC/HEIF files entirely in your browser. No photo data is ever sent to a server. After decoding, images are re-encoded to JPG (adjustable quality) or PNG (lossless) and offered for download individually or packaged in a ZIP archive.
