Choosing a Resolution, Because Vectors Do Not Have One
An EPS has no native pixel dimensions — it describes shapes, and it is the renderer that decides how finely to draw them. So every EPS-to-raster conversion has to pick a resolution, and that choice is the whole quality question. This tool renders at 300 DPI, the standard print density, which gives a file large enough for print and comfortably sharp on screen. The conversion is one-way: once the shapes become pixels, scaling up further will blur, so render at the size you actually need.
