JPG TO GIF CONVERTER

Home Image Tools JPG to GIF Converter

Convert a JPG photo to GIF format.

Your file is uploaded only for the moment it takes to convert, then deleted from the server straight away. It is never stored, indexed, or shared.

A Conversion Worth Doing Deliberately

GIF holds at most 256 colours per frame, and a photograph typically contains tens of thousands. Converting one to GIF means quantising that range down to a palette and dithering the difference, which shows up as visible banding across skies and skin tones — and the result is usually a larger file than the JPG you started with. Do it when something on the other end requires a GIF specifically. If what you actually want is a small photo, JPG or WebP is the better answer.

Privacy Note

This conversion runs on our server. Your file is uploaded only for the seconds the conversion takes and is deleted immediately afterwards — it is never stored, indexed, or shared. Accepted input: JPG, JPEG, up to 25 MB.
